Tectona grandis, also known as teak is a large deciduous tree that can grow up to 40m. It has been used extensively within its natural range for centuries and is highly sought after due to its superb stability, good strength properties and easy workability. And most of all, the presense of teak oil makes it resistant to decay and rot.

The law of supply and demand dictates the value of teak. This is even more so on wide table tops, considering it needed 100 years to acquire a width of 80cm.

The warm golden color and grain of teak woods makes it one of the most attractive and beffitting as an exquisite centre piece in any living, working and dining spaces.
